Michael Barnaart

マイケル バルナートは、1983年オランダ・Alkmaar生まれのデザイナー。グラフィックデザインとファッションを学び、2008年のアムステルダム・ファッション・ウィークで初のコレクションを発表しました。

Michael Barnaart is a Dutch designer born in Alkmaar in 1983. Having studied graphic design and fashion, he presented his first collection at Amsterdam Fashion Week in 2008.

ゴッホ、モンドリアン、フェルメール、エッシャーなど、オランダの巨匠たちの芸術にインスピレーションを受けたブローチを制作。その作品はクレラー・ミュラー美術館、デン・ハーグ市立美術館、バービカン（ロンドン）など世界各地の文化機関で展示されてきました。

Inspired by Dutch masters — Van Gogh, Mondrian, Vermeer, Escher — his brooches have been exhibited at the Kröller-Müller Museum, Kunstmuseum Den Haag, the Barbican in London, and beyond.

現在はフランスの小さなシャトー「ル・ピオ」を拠点に制作活動を続けています。ひとつひとつのブローチは「会話を生む作品」——身につけた人の個性と物語を彩る、コレクターズアイテムです。

Now creating from his petit château in France, each brooch is a conversation piece — a collector's item that tells a story and expresses the wearer's personality.
