マイケル・バルナートは、オランダ出身のデザイナーのブランドです。グラフィックデザインとファッションを背景に、オランダ美術の豊かな遺産を、現代の装いへと翻訳してきました。
Michael Barnaart is a Dutch designer born in Alkmaar in 1983. Rooted in graphic design and fashion, he translates the rich heritage of Dutch art into contemporary wearable form.
ゴッホ、モンドリアン、フェルメール、エッシャーなど、オランダの巨匠たちの芸術にインスピレーションを受けたブローチは、装身具でありながら、物語をまとう小さなアートピースでもあります。
Inspired by Dutch masters — Van Gogh, Mondrian, Vermeer, Escher — each brooch is both an accessory and a small artwork that carries a story.
現在はフランスの小さなシャトーを拠点に制作活動を続け、クレラー・ミュラー美術館、デン・ハーグ市立美術館、バービカン（ロンドン）など、世界各地の文化機関との協業実績を持ちます。
Now creating from his château in France, he has collaborated with cultural institutions including the Kröller-Müller Museum, Kunstmuseum Den Haag, and the Barbican in London.
